Drugstore Favourites

Hi lovelies

I know some people in the UK hate the term drugstore but I can’t think of a better word to use for my favourites.

I have to admit, I don’t get that special feeling inside when I buy drugstore make up like I do when I buy high end, but I do have a lot of it so I’ve picked out my five favourite things at the moment.

S4011675

Now, in no particular order:

S4011684

Maybelline Pure cover mineral concealer.
This concealer is perfect for covering blemishes and under eye shadows as it’s thick but has a runny consistancy which blends perfectly.  It costs around £5.99 and is available at Superdrug, Boots and some supermarkets.

S4011681

Barry M nail paints.
Still my favourite nail polishes ever. They come in a wide range of colours, they last and they’re cheap as chips! They are slow drying but I can forgive that based on their durability.  Available from Superdrug and some Boots stores and cost around £2.99.

S4011679
Collection 2000 Dazzle me! eye dust
These pigments are great.  They come in big jars (around the size of the old MAC pigment jars) and there’s a nice range of colours.  I have found that the shimmer ones are more pigmented that the matte ones.  This is my favourite- Bedazzle and it’s an extremely shiny gold.  I can’t find the exact prize but I’d imagine they’re around £3 and are again available from Boots, Superdrug and some supermarkets

S4011682

Covergirl Lash Blast mascara
Hurrah! A real drugstore product. Lashblast is my HG mascara. It beats any other that I’ve tried for volume(my lashes are naturally long) and I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been asked if I’m wearing falsies when I’ve got this on.  It’s available from most US drugstores and I think it’s around $10 (please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m going from memory!)

S4011680

Maybelline Sunglow bronzing booster
I never hear people mentioning this.  It wasn’t even really mentioned at the Maybelline event.  I think this liquid bronzer is GENIUS. It’s a runny, shimmery bronzer that can be used alone or mixed with foundation.  Instead of buying a diff foundation colour in the summer, I use this to darken my foundation to match my skin tone.  It also looks really nice alone, on my fake tanned skin and gives it a boost.

There you have my favourites.  What do you think of them?  Have you tried any? Let me know your drugstore favourites.

XOXO

I've always wondered about that Maybelline Bronzing stuff. I can never find it. Maybe it will be around in Summer
