My favourite face

Just another quick post to show you my favourite make up look when I'm running late in the morning.

Just some base, thick black liquid eyeliner and a coat of mascara

Cherry red lips.

and that's it! Very simple and classic

What's in my bag and mini haul

I love what's in my bag blogs/vids- in fact watching them on youtube is what got me into watching beauty vids and then into blogging, so I couldn't resist doing one of my own.

My bag

It's a Gucci shopper and I love it, it's my favourite bag. I do use other bags all the time, but this is my main work/shopping bag because it fits so much in it.

The colours don't photograph very well but it's brown with the classic red and green stripes.

The inside is a really nice contrast and it opens up really wide
Now for the inside-

The basics

My work pass and desk keys on a leopard print lanyard, Guess purse- it's huge, it even has a pull out wallet in it, passport in Jasper Conran holder- I need it for ID, I don't have a drivers licence and keys- including my house keys, and keys to my brother's, Grandma's and boyfriend's house. I'm very trusted!
The rest

Umbrella because it just rains anytime in England, tiny diary, Ipod video in a Radley holder and a mini notebook for my to do lists. I used to carry a pen until someone pointed out that it could break. I don't want ink on my bag!

My make up bag
Hello kitty make up bag from H & M, Hello Kitty beauty powder in Tahitian Sand, mini powder brush, mini Bad Gal mascara and whatever lipstick/gloss I'm wearing that day.
I don't really take out a lot of make up with me, just the very basics.

That's the stuff that's always in my bag. I missed my phone as I was using it to take pics, and my sunglasses as I'm usually wearing them!
I also went to Superdrug today and picked up a few bits as I needed to get out

I got a mini Batiste dry shampoo in Tropical to keep in my bag. Smells lovely. I also noticed that they have 2 new smells- Boho and Diva, but neither of them were as nice as Tropical so I didn't get them. Neither had a particularly distinctive smell so I can't describe them.

Two Barry M nail polishes in Coral and Turquoise. Coral is for my mum but I think I'll put it on my toes later.

Barry M lip paint in 140- Pink Sparkle

It's a lovely bubblegum pink, slightly frosted. It's actually a lot more moisturising than some of the other Barry M lip paints that I've had so I'm very pleased.
Finally I picked up Tresemme 24 hour body amplifying mousse after seeing Marie's review of it. Check it out, her hair looks gorgeous. I haven't tried it properly yet, but I have scrunched some into my dry hair, and it's really big still. Best of it, it smells really nice and doesn't feel like I have any product at all on my hair. Fantastic!

Back from the dead haul

I've been really ill recently so I haven't had any inclination to blog or do anything. but I'm back :)
Feeling much better, and I have to sleep sitting up tonight so I felt it was a good time to blog.
Despite saying I had no money, I have bought a few things recently, some I mentioned in my last blog, so here we go.

My Asos union jack bag arrived and my BF picked it up from the Post Office yesterday. I love it, much more than I thought I would. It's big enough to fit my essential crap in it, without lugging round a huge bag.

My Dorothy Perkins skirt. Another sale bargain. I wanted it for ages. I love it. I actually wish I'd gotten it in a size smaller, it falls down further on my hips than I'd like.

Primark shoes. I had to have these beauties. I have the black high heeled pair and I just loved this colour. I got a pair for my mum too. I also bought some harem pants in Primark and I love them. I couldn't be bothered to take a photo as they're pretty run of the mill. They've def been my trouser of choice whilst I've been ill. Very comfy.

Earrings. I go through phases of buying jewellery. I never seem to buy necklaces anymore as I wear my Tiffany one all the time so I just get earrings. I actually bought more pairs than this but I can't quite lay my hands on 'em at the moment!
Hoops are Topshop, others are DP. Both v. cheap in the sale :)

Present idea

It's my mum's birthday soon and I've had a idea for a gift for her. A few weeks ago we were discussing her make up and I was telling her off for still wearing navy blue mascara, instead of brown (she's scared of black as she's very blonde and has never worn it) and I offered to apply some new make up for her to give her a change, which we haven't gotten round to doing yet

So for her birthday, I thought I'd buy her a new make up bag, fill it with all kinds of new goodies, in colours I think will suit her, and include a little voucher which will entitle her to a make over by me.

What do you guys think? I'm now really excited, I get to buy even more make up and help bring her up to date a little more.

In haul news, I got the DP skirt in the sale yesterday, I LOOOVE it. I think my bag or hair velcros arrived today, I have a parcel card from the postie so I'll have to pick it up on Saturday, I'll do a haul post when everything has arrived.

I no longer have to buy a light up make up mirror either, my work mate is going to sell me hers for a fiver. Result!

I also really miss my long hair, I played with my rubbish clip in extensions earlier, what do you think?

Sorry blogger is being really weird with pic uploads so I can't seem to post anymore, I'll edit it when it's working again.

Wish List

It's near the end of the month so I can't really afford to shop at the moment.

Floral leggings. I would buy these now but they're out of stock :(

Union Jack Bag! This one's from Asos, but I have seen a £6 one from Primark in a magazine, it's not really the type of bag that I would spend a lot of money on so I'll be stalking Primark til it arrives
I've actually discovered that this is on sale for £8 on ASOS, and have actually just bought it. So much for not being able to afford anything, it's much nicer than the Primark one.
The summer sale seems to have started at Dorothy Perkins, I'm going in tomorrow to see if I can see this skirt
as I've been eyeing it up for most of the year. If it's not in store, I'll be buying it online tomorrow night :)

Hair velcro! I have a massive fringe so these are perfect. I've just bought some from Ebay

It was my first time ordering something from Ebay, if all goes well, I'm planning on buying bigger stuff in the future. I mainly want to buy things that aren't available in the UK.

A light up make up mirror. The lighting on my dressing table is quite bad so I need one. I'm watching a couple on Ebay at the moment, but if anyone could recommend a good one, I'd be very grateful!

A 242. MAC was out of them when I last went. I just really want one. I'm waiting for Naked Honey to come out and I'll buy it with that.

My wishlist has diminished slightly, as I've bought some of the bits whilst writing this! I'll try to post some pictures when things arrive.

June Favourites

What have I been loving in June?

*Woodwinked e/s by MAC.

I never usually buy brown shadows as I have a pallette full, but Woodwinked caught my eye in CCO. One swatch and that was it. It's more bronze with gold shimmer and it's just beautiful. I wore it on it's own last night and it actually appears darker in the crease, making it look like you've applied more than one colour.

*Matthew Williamson for H&M peacock vest. The pattern is gorgeous and I really like the fabric. and Matthew Williamson for £14.99? Can't complain!

*Barry M Nail varnish. Just so cheap! Comes in so many colours and mine still last a week without re touch. I'm wearing Bright Purple atm, bit of a disappointment, it's not so bright. I'll be saving it for the winter I think.
I've currently got my eye on Pale Purple and Block Orange.

*Glitter. I've loved glittery lipgloss this month, my dazzle glasses are nearly empty already and I've added glittery eye liner now too. I got some Collection 2000 ones recently, but had to try some MAC glitter liners too. I have to be honest and say that MAC were far better than Collection 2000, they have a really nice colour as well as glitter, Collection 2000 just seem to be clumps of glitter that make my eye quite sore. I have left them at my house (I'm at my boyfriends) so I don't have any photos but I'll happily do a comparision/review if you want it.
That's it for June, I'm still not feeling 100% at the moment, but I'm going to try and use this to cheer myself up.
I want to say a big thank you to Tabitha as she told me about editing HTML, which has made posting pics less of a chore, I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier, I actually know a little bit about HTML too!
thanks chick!

Bit Glum

Hi ladies

Again, I've been a bit slack in the blogging department recently. I've been feeling quite down about things lately so I haven't really had the motivation to blog about anything. I find it quite hard to get my laptop to myself to get any blogging done, there's always things I need to be doing or others using it or my time!

I also actually despise adding photos to my blog because it's so laborious dragging them to the place you want, is it only me that finds that?

Also, my cam on my phone isn't great for taking detailed shots, I think I'm going to have to start using my real camera for pics.

Sorry for the moan, just unhappy me peeping through into my writing. Hopefully I should pull myself together and start writing properly soon. I've bought so much stuff recently that it's begging for a haul

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone following, I love reading everyone's blogs!

Lots of love,

What rocks..and what doesn't

I would do a haul post as I've bought quite a bit recently, but I can't be bothered to get out of bed and find it all! Maybe later.

What Rocks

*Going to see Britney Spears. Complete spur of the moment, my work mate had a spare ticket the day before the show and I decided to go.

Myself and my work mates. I wore a spotty playsuit and open toed high heeled boots. Britney was awesome. Loved it.

* Going to see Miley Cyrus. I just love her. Everything about her. My workmate Lisa (the one in the middle) has got us tickets to see her in Dec at The O2. We're taking her 7 year old daughter who is going to dress up as Hannah Montanna. Too cute.

*Glitter liners. I bought a couple from Collection 2000 yesterday. They seem awesome but I haven't actually worn them yet. I'm a big sucker for glitter and liquid liner though.

*My eyebrows. They're finally getting into shape. I'm cursed with massive, thick, dark, horrible brows, which no beautician has ever seemed to be able to tame. Have resorted to waxing, trimming and plucking myself and they're looking so much better.

*Barry M Nail polish. lasts over a week. with no chips. ON MY HANDS. it's amazing. I love it. i use the combined base/top coat and nail strengthener with it.

What sucks

* Barry M nail polish in Mint Green. I wanted this for ages. I put it on last night. Not the colour I expected, far too blue. I actually prefer spring green. Shame.

*Patchy tan. I've woken up patchy. I was still patchy from my last tan application, I put more on to hide it. Still patchy :(

*Not being able to buy Naked Honey Collection yet. I want it all. I'm going to have to really choose carefully because I can't really buy it all (I'm saving to buy a house)

* Being awake at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. I'm having major sleep issues. I'm always tired. I'm on day 4 of a caffeine diet. I just want coffee and coke. I'm going out tonight so I'll obviously break it. I'm not sure what other mixer I'd have.

*Breaking my favorite heels(the previously mentioned heeled boots) at Britney. They only need re-heeling but I have no shoes to wear out tonight. Unless I wear flats. I'm going shoe shopping later!

I went to Brighton yesterday with my mum and had such a nice day. I managed to find the MAC shop and was really happy that Style Warriors was out. I just love the packaging and managed to buy a few bits. I also love the lanes, picked up some really cute and REALLY cheap dresses so I'm very happy.
Lush was closed for a re-fit though :(
I'm after a really bright bag for summer. Couldn't find one at all in Brighton, I want a nice big slouchy one, not very expensive in a really bright colour(green is a big choice!) has anyone seen anything that sounds like that?
I've been blogging, infrequently, for a few months now, I'm really after making some new friends to chat about make up and clothes with, twitter seems like a good place to start. If you're in the same position, feel free to follow me-, I'll follow back and I'd love to chat!

Just a quick FOTD and OOTD.

The whole lot was actually bought from Peacocks, at different times, over the last year or so.

I used my 2 new Hello Kitty palettes for today's look.

exactly the same make up as yesterday(and the same I use pretty much every day!)
MAC Hello Kitty e/s palette in Too Dolly and H&M Hello Kitty e/s palette in Aloha Lagoon. As I said yesterday, it's pretty much exactly the same as Too Dolly but sparkly. I used the MAC one first and then went over each colour with H&M to give it glitter.
MAC Liquidlast eyeliner in Aqua Line.
Lash Stiletto Mascara.

Monday, 1 June 2009

I was bad and had another tiny shop on my way home. First though, OOTD!
Dress- Primark 2-3 years ago. I love this dress.
Belt- H&M
Shoes(which I'm not actually wearing) Tan Gladiators- Primark
FOTD to clash with my dress

MAC Studio Moisture fix SPF15
Revlon Colorstay foundation 001 Ivory
mixed with
Maybelline Sunglow Dream in 02 Bronze
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20
MAC Peaches sheertone blush
MAC Hello Kitty beauty powder in Tahitian Sand
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
MAC Prep+Prime eye
Barry M Gold lip and eye crayon
White e/s from W7 palette
MAC Chrome Yellow e/s
Green e/s from W7 palette
Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner in Black
Lash Stiletto and L'oreal telescopic explosion mascaras
I decided I needed a tiny make up bag to carry my lipstick, compact etc in my bag, and found a really cute one in H&M. I couldn't resist the bigger one too as I needed a medium sized bag to use when I go away
The tiny one was £1.99 and the bigger one was £2.99!
I also saw they did really cute Hello Kitty make up and I got this palette for £2.99. I'm actually quite annoyed as the colours are really similar to Too Dolly(which I just bought) but sparkly!
I also nipped into the CCS and got a white MAC e/s- Chill as the one I used this morning from my W7 palette really wasn't pigmented.
Hello Kitty e/s Palette in Aloha Lagoon
MAC E/S in Chill
I'm going to use it for a look tomorrow. I will now not be shopping until Saturday.
I promise..
