Weight Loss

A few weeks ago I was whinging alot about my weight. I'd been eating terribly for a long time, literally having fast food every day, sometimes having two big meals a day and I just got to a size I wasn't happy with anymore.
So I started my self on a really strict diet. Today was the start of my 3rd week and my weigh in day- I've lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks :D
I haven't joined a slimming club or done any exercise(which I HATE) but I haven't eaten carbs or sugar. I've limited myself to one cup of caffeine a day and I feel great! I can sleep properly at night, no longer feel tired during the day and haven't had a headache. At times it's really hard but I'm so proud of myself that I'm going to carry on until I get to my target weight.

Congratulations, just be careful cutting out all carbs - brown unprocessed carbs such as rice bread and pasta are great for you - your body can't live without them, which is something you don't want to find out the hard way.

That's awesome! I've had the doctor tell me I need to cut back on carbs because they found I was insulin resistant. So, I'm trying to eat better too. I know I'll fail a strict diet, so I'm only going to eat a little bit of junk on the weekends. Good luck!

wow congrats! I think though when you cut out carbs and sugar completely, its hard to keep the weight... Carbs in moderation is good for you :)

congratualtions! i did the same thing a while back and lost two stone

im starting it again today to lose another two (the pill made me put on loooads of weight)

i find it really helpful to write the things down that i eat and rough calories so i know how much im eating

i stick to 500-1000 cals a day depending on the day and drink loads of water

i also dont have any potatoes with my meals, just fish/chicken and lots and lots of veg
no chocolate, crisps, etc etc etc AT ALL, as soon as you say 'oh ill just have it today' you wont be able to stop!!

its really good that your being so strict with yourself, its the only way to do it! xx
